Green Cloth Boards with black titles to spine, 195 x 130 mm approx. xiv + 112 pp. Dramatization of "The Wind in the Willows" which Milne explains in his introduction has "enough of Kenneth Grahame in it to appease his many admirers, and enough of me in it to justify my name on the title page". First published in April 1929 the copy offered by us is a first printing of the Second and Cheaper Edition December 1930. VG / Poor (Book- No notable shelf wear or soiling to cloth. No previous owner name, insc. or annotations. Dust Jacket- quite grubby from dust soiling/handling with nicks/ chips / tears.Principle loss is to top of rear panel at flap fold and around head of spine. Remains very presentable for a 1930's d/j and in it's removable proprietary protective sleeve. NB Pieces of best match paper have been inserted in front of the stark white of the backing paper of the sleeve so as not to offend the eye on the bookshelf).
