Green Boards with gilt titles to spine, 225 x 150 mm approx. 174pp 39 illustrations of which 38 being b/w photos on glossy art paper and 1 line drawing all as called for. Autobiography of long time promoter of British Design who with Gordon Russell established the Council of Industrial Design (later the Design Council). The copy offered by us is inscribed to John and Cynthia and signed by the Author to the half title page. Affixed to the free front end paper is an invitation to Sir John and Lady Barnes from the R.S.A. for a champagne reception on the book's publication and their book plate is also affixed to the front paste down. Sir John Barnes was the late British Ambassador to the Netherlands and previously Israel. Near Fine/Near Fine (Book- dust spotting to top edge of book block and a foxing spot to fore edge of same.
