All edges of book block gilt, champaign colour silk end papers. Double columnar text with red boarders. Un paginated.Printed by C.J.Clay and sold by Rivingtons. Dated-1863 to half title.Two vols bound in one - Book of common prayer with Psalms + New Testament at rear. The Title page to the New Testament also dated 1863. VG (The book has been skilfully re backed with a white book cloth and the curved ivory spine re laid thereon. The original moire silk end papers are cracked with 15 x 5 mm approx loss to bottom margin of front past down. The front free end paper has a beautiful illuminated gift inscription from a mother to her daughter on attaining her 21st Birthday 29th July 1866. Lacks silk marker.
