Illustrated paper covered boards repeating the design of the dust Jacket. 245x160mm approx. 54pp. 7 colour plates and 24 illustrations in b/w. Published by Whitbread's Brewery in a series of books on Beer Brewing and Imbibing and called "The Whitbread Library" the first two published simultaneously were this book and "Your Local". Together they form an interesting and informative history of the famous brewery it's tied inns mainly in Kent where it had it's centre of Hop growing and on the social history of drinking. Copies either presentation or complimentary have the name of the recipient on a bookplate pasted to the front paste down and bear the "Whitbread 1742 " Logo. Good/Good (Book- Shelf wear- colour loss to extremities of boards. Offset browning to end papers. Whitbread 1742 plate to front paste down with neat ink name. Our copy of "Your Local" SKU 118944 has the same name. Dust Jacket- Edge rubbing and chips but no notable soiling and now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve).
